Rick McKellop joined Wholesale Electric Supply in 1967 as a part time warehouse associate while attending high school. After graduation he became a full-time employee. He went on to join the Marine Corps and proudly served in Vietnam from 1969 – 1970. After his tour of duty, he returned full time to Wholesale.

Rick met his wife, Pam (Rutland), while working at Wholesale and they went on to marry in March of 1974. They had two children, Jennifer and Rick II, and 6 grandchildren.

Pam’s parents, Clyde and Marjorie Rutland, founded Wholesale Electric in 1949. In 2012, after both of her parents passed away, the McKellop family assumed ownership of the company.

Over the years, Rick worked in several areas at Wholesale from counter sales, inside sales, the credit department and serving as a board member.

The McKellop family continues to run Wholesale Electric based on the core values and great legacy instilled by Clyde and Marjorie Rutland.
